YTC mold testing expert report said the trend may be related to mold-making industry’s high added-value and high tech initiatives may also contribute to the changes, as the companies need more mold testing expert staffers with high degrees and an inclination to a stable position.

The report predicted that the Taiwan industry will employ approximately 2,600 intern engineers and 1,600 mold-making technicians in the next 3 years, meaning an annual demand of 860 for the former and 530 for the latter. Mold testing expert has witnessed a lack of engineering-major graduates in recent years.

Less than half of the 700 graduates every year choose to work in the manufacturing industry. Companies have to instead bring human resources from the Mainland, which has become a pipeline for Hong Kong manufacturers. The trend is continuing, according to the 22-page report.
